approach
My approach to wedding planning is a great fit for the couple who envisions a wedding that is timeless and classic, but also filled with their own individual style.
Together with my clients, we start with the overall vision and experience they would like to create for their day. We then examine each element and talk how each piece works together to culminate in the wedding of their dreams. The sum of all the small parts is what creates the WOW factor.
My style is often described as tradional, though I love to find ways to add a modern touch here and there. I'm often looking at vintage editorial resources like etiquette books, home magazines and women's journals to breathe new life into ideas of the past.
Prior to wedding planning, my background included studying Visual Design at a fashion institute in Los Angeles, planning events for a Beverly Hills medical group, working as a personal stylist for a large high end retailer, and head hunting/ recruiting for tech companies in Seattle. Each of these opportunties honed different skills: from developing a discerning eye and learning the fundamentals of floral design to finding the unfindable resource and project management.
I'm based in Seattle. My clients and wedding locations are both near and far.
beyond the studio
My husband and I got married in 2016 at a historic mansion near downtown Seattle. What started as "how can we prevent guests from wearing jeans to the wedding" turned into a black tie affair... and admittedly, I've never looked back.
These days home life is a little less glamorous. With two small boys and a 100 year old house, there's a project and some chaos around every corner. It's a messy life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I'm unapologetically old fashioned and am the definition of a francophile. I firmly believe that life is better with more pastries and red wine and will never pass up the opportunity to take a nap.
